Damit war das Gesamtklima erstmals seit April wieder unter null. „Die allgemeine Eintrübung der Konjunktur zeigt sich auch in der Autobranche“, sagt Oliver Falck vom ifo Institut. „Dabei sind die Zulieferer deutlich schlechterer Stimmung als die Hersteller.“
Das Klima bei den Herstellern drehte auf minus 1,6, nach plus 5,8 im Vormonat. Das lag vor allem an einer deutlich pessimistischeren Beurteilung ihrer aktuellen Lage mit minus 2,5 Punkten, nach plus 18 im Vormonat. Die Erwartungen hingegen stiegen von minus 5,8 auf minus 0,7. Bei den Zulieferern sank das Geschäftsklima sogar auf minus 11,4 Punkte, nach minus 4,9 im Juli. Auch hier schätzten die Unternehmen ihre aktuelle Lage deutlich schlechter ein als im Vormonat. Die Erwartungen konnten diesen Pessimismus nicht ausgleichen, sie verbesserten sich nur leicht. Gleichzeitig sind die Unternehmen zurückhaltender, Personal einzustellen. Der Indikator für die Beschäftigungspläne der Branche sank von plus 9,5 auf minus 3,6 Punkte.
