Investition in einen Produktionsbetrieb ohne Erdgas

Die neue Anlage wird das bestehende Walzwerk ersetzen, das 2005 ebenfalls von SMS geliefert wurde. Das Werk ist strategisch günstig im Nordosten der Iberischen Halbinsel bei Saragossa, Spanien, gelegen und verfügt über eine ausgezeichnete Anbindung an die großen Industrieregionen Spaniens und Frankreichs. Die Anlage wird für die Herstellung einer breiten Palette von Stabstahlprodukten ausgelegt sein, die das bestehende Produktportfolio ergänzen und erweitern.

SMS unterstützt Megasider bei dem Ziel, einen Produktionsbetrieb ohne Erdgas zu realisieren und die Anlage zu digitalisieren. Als Systemlieferant bietet SMS ein Gesamtkonzept für den Betrieb der flexiblen Brenner mit einem digitalen Steuerungssystem. Damit kann die Anlage besonders umweltschonend betrieben werden.

Zum Lieferumfang von SMS gehört ein Hubbalkenofen, der mit der neuesten Nachwärmtechnologie für einen umweltfreundlichen Betrieb ausgestattet ist. Konkret wird der Ofen mit einer Kapazität von 120 Tonnen pro Stunde mit der SMS Prometheus® Level 2-Steuerung ausgestattet, die eine gleichmäßige Temperaturverteilung und eine niedrige Oxidation und Kohlenstoffanreicherung des Stahls gewährleistet, sowie mit dem SMS DigiMod-Verbrennungsmanagementsystem und SMS ZeroFlame HY2-Brennern. Diese flammenlosen Brenner mit besonders niedrigem NOx-Ausstoß können sowohl mit Erdgas als auch mit einem Gemisch aus Erdgas und Wasserstoff in jedem beliebigen Verhältnis betrieben werden, so dass eine vollständige Umstellung auf Wasserstoffbetrieb möglich ist. Durch die Kombination von SMS ZeroFlame HY2-Brennern, DigiMod-Verbrennungsmanagementsystem und SMS Prometheus®-Steuerung werden die NOx-Emissionen auf 45 ppm gesenkt, die Zunderbildung auf 0,4 Prozent reduziert und der Brennstoffverbrauch auf 27 Nm3 pro Tonne verringert.

Zum Lieferumfang gehören außerdem eine Mehrstrang-Richtmaschine mit automatischer Stabpositionierung und -zuführung sowie einem automatischen Walzenwechselsystem, eine Kaltsäge für den Einsatz mit Schleif- oder Metallscheiben, sowie ein automatischer Magnetstapler mit rotierenden Armen, der über vier unabhängig voneinander arbeitende Vier-Meter-Sektionen verfügt. Das von TBK, einem Unternehmen der SMS group, gelieferte hochpräzise Profilmessgerät mit Oberflächenfehlererkennung ermöglicht Megasider die Durchführung von kontaktlosen Präzisionsmessungen für optimale Prozesse in der Stabstahlproduktion.
